The FuelTech FT450 mockup is in almost every way an identical model to the real FuelTech FT450 ECU, but without the functional electronics. This is a useful tool for engineers and development teams. It simulates a real ECU, allowing to check positioning, connections and mounting bracket, as well as ensuring that the real ECU will not be damaged before proceeding with the final installation.
The FuelTech FT450 mockup allows users to:
- Develop or test mounting brackets: By having an accurate physical representation of the FT450’s dimensions and mounting points, they can create or adapt brackets on the vehicle or test bench, ensuring a perfect fit for the real ECU later.
- Test the installation location: Our mockup, with the FT450 graphics replicated, allows to easily view and confirm whether the location chosen to mount the ECU offers sufficient space, good screen visibility and adequate access to connectors/connections, before installing the real electronic unit, thus avoiding space or ergonomic problems.
- Avoid damage to the real ECU during planning: By using a non-functional model, the user can freely handle it during the planning and installation phase without the risk of damaging the real ECU, which is more expensive.
